Saudi Arabia's Shura Council has responded to rising public outrage over child marriages by setting the age of majority at 18. Though this doesn't end child marriages, it moves toward abolishing the practice. सउदी अरब में बाल विवाह के विषय पर लोगों के बढते आक्रोश के चलते शुरा काउन्सिल ने वयस्क की आयु 18 वर्ष कर दी गयी। हालाँकि इससे बाल विवाह समाप्त नहीं होगा परंतु इस प्रथा को समाप्त करने में सफलता अवश्य मिलेगी ।
