Since 2005 the federation has worked alongside over 1700 volunteers to restore Hammock s Beach State Park by planting over 43, 000 saltmarsh plants including black needlerush, salt meadow hay and smooth cordgrass to help prevent erosion along the vulnerable shoreline.
