The gable-window-like arched kudu ornaments on the kapota , of the prastara are fronted by toranas bereft of the supporting columns . प्रस्तार के कपोत पर त्रिंअकी खिड़की के समान मेहराबदार कुछ अलंकरण सहायक स्तंभों से रहित तोरणों के अग्रभाग में होते हैं .

The early chaityas are large , apsidal , with an elaborate facade , having horseshoe-shaped windows on the top of the entrance , प्रारंभिक चैत्य काफी बड़े मेहराबनुमा तथा अलंकृत अग्रभाग वाले हैं जिनके प्रवेश द्वार पर घोड़े की नाल के आकार की खिड़कियां हैं .

The massive wall has a stepped up base provided with a narrow vestibule for approach in front , resembling the antarala of later temples . यहां विशालकाय दीवार को सीढ़ीनुमा बनाया गया है-जिसमें प्रवेश के लिए अग्रभाग में , बाद में बने मंदिरों जैसा अंतराल भी उपलब्ध है .

The shrines are ranged on the rear half of the cloister close to the prakara , while the anterior half forms a continuous corridor with a pillared facade . मंदिर प्राकार के निकट समूह के पिछले अर्ध भाग में स्थित है जबकि अगले अर्धभाग में स्तंभ युक़्त अग्रभाग युक़्त गलियारा है .

The pent roof covering the storey below and the apsidal ridged roof above , with a gable front , has a row of three stupis on top . नीचे के तले को ढकंती ढलवां छत और ऊपर अर्धवृत्ताकार मगरेदार छत हैं जिसका अग्रभाग त्रिअंकी और शीर्ष पर तीन स्तूतियों की एक पंक़्ति है .

Cave 9 , strictly speaking , is a long hall or mandapa , with a prominent sculptured facadea poor imitation of Cave 10 . गुफा संख़्या 9 सही अर्थ में एक लंबा सभागार या मंडप है जिसका अग्रभाग बड़ी प्रमुखता से मूर्तियों के उत्कीर्ण से सज़्जित है-एक तरह से यह गुफा संख़्या 10 की घटिया नकल है .

The two bas-relief replicas in miniature on either flank of the facade of the Ramanuja mandapa cave-temple are likewise ekatala , Nagara forms , but with their cella empty . रामानुज मंडप गुफा मंदिर के अग्रभाग के दोनों पार्श्वो पर दो नक़्काशीदार लघु प्रतिकृतियां एकतल , नागर रूप विधान के अनुरूप हैं , किंतु उनका गर्भगृह खाली है .

The mandapa is walled on its shorter sides and round the front corners leaving an open facade in front , with vyala-based pillars and pilasters . मंडप अपनी छोटी भुजाओं वाले पार्श्वों पर और सामने के कोनों पर दीवारों से घिरा हुआ है जिससे सामने का अग्रभाग खुला हुआ है जिसके स्तंभ और भित्तिस्तंभ व्याल आधारित हैं .

The wall spaces between the relieved bays of the aditala are adorned by reliefs of shrine frontals with superstructures of the southern vimana patterns , or of the northern prasada patterns . आदितल की दीवारों के उभरे हुए खंडों के बीच दक्षिणी विमान के प्रतिमानों या उत्तरी प्रासाद प्रतिमानों की अधिरचना युक़्त मंदिर के अग्रभाग उत्कीर्ण हैं .

The northern face of the rock is roughly carved out into a large squatting lion-front with a small square niche cut into in its bosom , enshrining a relief panel of Mahishamardini . चट्टान के उत्तरी फलक पर एक बड़े बैठे हुए सिंह का अग्रभाग अवगढ़ रूप से तराशा हुआ है , जिसके सीने में एक छोटा वर्गाकार ताक बना है जिसमें महिषमर्दिनी का एक उत्कीर्णित फलक है .
