The people of Multan used to tell me that they have no varshakala , but the more northern provinces nearer the mountains have the varshakala . मुल्तान के लोग मुझसे कहा करते थे कि हमारे यहां तो वर्षाकाल होता ही नहीं , अलबत्ता पर्वतमाला के निकट जो भी प्रांत उत्तर दिशा में हैं वहां जरूर बारिश होती है .

Only , the problems in India are much more complicated due to the great age of the civilization , the wide and uneven spread of the land and the multifarious races that have gone to the making of our life . अलबत्ता लंबे युगों तक फैली भारतीय सभ्यता , विशाल और असमान भूमि विस्तार और हमारी जिंदगी को बनाने वाली नानाविध जातियों की मौजूदगी की वजह से भारत की समस्याएं जरूर कुछ ज्यादा जटिल हो गयी हैं .
