The Government of India has reserved some seats in the medical colleges , engineering colleges and agricultural colleges for students from these islands , under the categories of locals , dependents of officials serving in the Andaman Administration , the Central Government and the Defence . भारत सरकार ने कुछ स्थान देश के विभिन्न इंजीनियरी , मेडिकल तथा कृषि कालेजों में यहां के स्थानीय ( लोकल ) लोगों तथा इन द्वीपों में सेवारत अंडमान प्रशासन , केंद्रीय सरकार , व रक्षा विभाग के कर्मचारियों के बच्चों व आश्रितों के लिये सुरक्षित किये हैं .
