The strategically brilliant but economically deficient early state has been replaced by the reverse. Yesteryear's spy masterminds, military geniuses, and political heavyweights have seemingly gone into high tech, leaving the state in the hands of corrupt, short-sighted mental midgets. इस बारे में पहला संकेत तो तिथियाँ हैं । उत्कर्ष का समय राज्य के पहले तीन दशक रहे जबकि निम्नतर समय वर्ष 2000 के बाद से आरम्भ हुआ है। कुछ बहुत बडा परिवर्तन आ चुका है। आरम्भ में जो राज्य आर्थिक दृष्टि से घाटे में था परंतु रणनीतिक रूप से मेधावी था अब पूरी तरह उलट चुका है। पिछ्ले वर्षों के मेधावी गुप्तचर, सैन्य प्रतिभा और राजनीतिक भारी भरकम व्यक्तित्व अब तकनीक पर आश्रित हो चुके हैं और राज्य को भ्रष्ट और अल्पकालिक सोच के लोगों के हाथों में छोड दिया है।
