The chief important crops that are cultivated are rice, sugarcane, lentils, oil seeds, potatoes, and wheat. इन क्षेत्रों में उगाई जाने वाली प्रधान उपज में मुख्यतः धान गन्ना दाल तिलहन आलू एवं गेहूँ हैं।

If the actual average yield in any area covered by this scheme fails short of the guaranteed yield, the farmer is entitled to an indemnity to the extent of shortfall in yield viz-a-viz the guaranteed yield. यह योजना उपज में हानि होने की स्थिति में क्षतिपूर्ति की भी सुरक्षा करती है.
