The cold storages are being mostly used for the storage of agricultural commodities with potato being the largest stored commodity. शीतागार ज़्यादातर कृषीय पण्यों के संग्रहण के लिये उपयोग में लाए जाते हें और उनमें सबसे अधिक संग्रह किया जाने वाला पण्य आलू है.

The target for agricultural growth should be fixed taking into account the gap in the domestic availability and the demand for domestic consumption and exports घरेलू उपलब्धता और घरेलू खपत और आयात की माँग के अंतराल को ध्यान में रखते हुए कृषीय वृद्धि का लक्ष्य निर्धारित किया जाना चाहिए।

The allocation for agriculture was hiked by 58 percent to Rs. 2854 crores from Rs. 1807 crores by enhancing outlays on irrigation and agricultural credit in the budget. बजट में कृषि के लिए निर्धारित सिंचाई और कृषीय करों के व्यय को ५८ प्रतिशत बढ़ा कर १८०७ करोड़ रु. से २८५४ करोड़ रु. कर दिया गया था।

At present, most of the agricultural produce in the country is freely marketed through private trade operating in organized markets and mandies फ़िलहाल, देश में अधिकतर कृषीय उपज की ख़रीद-फ़रोख्झ्त नियोजित बाज़ारों/मंडियों में काम करने वाले निजी व्यापार के माध्यम से मुक्त रूप से हो रही है.

Till the end of March 1997, grading standards have been prepared for 162 agricultural and allied commodities under the Agriculture Produce Act, 1937 न्व अ योजना की अवधि में तमिलनाडु सरकार द्वारा राज्य में कृषीय और विपणन सुविधाओं के विस्तार के लिये १०० करोडैं रू. खर्च करने की उम्मीद की जा रही है.

Till the end of March 1997, grading standards have been prepared for 162 agricultural and allied commodities under the Agriculture Produce Act, 1937 कृषीय उत्पाद (श्रेणीकरण और विपणन) अधिनियम, १९३७ के अंतर्गत मार्च १९९७ के अंत तक १६२ कृषीय और संद्धि पण्यों के श्रेणीकरण मानदंड तैयार किये गये हैं.

In the Ninth Plan period, the Tamil Nadu government is expected to spend Rs. 100 crores on extension of agricultural marketing facilities in the state न्व अ योजना की अवधि में तमिलनाडु सरकार द्वारा राज्य में कृषीय और विपणन सुविधाओं के विस्तार के लिये १०० करोडैं रू. खर्च करने की उम्मीद की जा रही है.

To achieve this, the governments of many states and union territories have enacted necessary legislation for regulation of agricultural produce markets इस लक्ष्य को प्राप्त करने के लिए कई राज्यों और केंद्र-शासित प्रदेशों की सरकारों ने कृषीय उत्पाद बाज़ारों के नियंत्रण के लिए आवश्यक कानून बनाए हैं.
