The Legislative Council of the Governor-General was further enlarged to consist of “ not less than ten nor more than sixteen ” -LRB- instead of the erstwhile minimum of six and maximum of twelve -RRB- additional members . गवर्नर-जनरल की विधान परिषद् का अग्रेतर विस्तार करने के लिए यह व्यवस्था की गई कि उसमें ? कम से कम दस और ज़्यादा से ज़्यादा सोलह ? अतिरिक़्त सदस्य होंगे.पहले यह व्यवस्था थी कि उसमें कम से कम छ : और अधिक से अधिक बारह सदस्य होंगे .

To open the doors of opportunity and to build a political -and social system which allows people to have the capacity to develop and function for the good of the community should be our main aim . . .. हमारा मुख़्य मकसद यह होना चाहिए कि हम लोगों के लिए तरक़्की के ज़्यादा से ज़्यादा अवसर मुहैया करें और एक ऐसी राजनैतिक और सामाजिक व्यवस्था का निर्माण करें , जो लोगों को समाज के हित में अपनी क्षमता का विकास करने में और समाज के लिए काम करने में मदद दें . . ..

They demand urgently and insistently economic relief and , in order to obtain this , political freedom . On this broad basis there can be the fullest cooperation between all elements in the country who seek the good of the people as a whole and their freedom from imperialism . आम जनता तो जल्दी से जल्दी और हर हालत में आर्थिक राहत चाहती है और उसे हासिल करने के लिए राजनीतिक आजादी.इस बिना पर मुल्क के उन सभी तबकों के साथ ज़्यादा से ज़्यादा सहयोग हो सकता है , जो आम लोगों का फायदा और साम्राज़्यवाद से छुटकारा पाना चाहते हैं .

Worse still , even before such an equilibrium could occur , the Americans in their characteristic haste speedily resorted to newer and newer methods of raising more crops and fruits on larger and larger holdings , so that a partnership of mutual benefit between insect and man could not come about . इससे भी बुरी बात यह हुई कि ऐसी साम्यावस्था आने से पूर्व ही अमरीकावासियों ने अपनी विशिष्ट जल्दबाजी में ज़्यादा से ज़्यादा भूभागों पर आधिकाधिक फसल और फल उगाने के नए से नए ढंग बड़ी तेजी से अपनाए जिसकी वजह से कीट और मनुष्य के बीच पारस्परिक लाभ की साझेदारी नहीं हो पाई .

I do hope that now , when India is on the verge of independence and science in India too is coming of age , it will try to solve the problems of the new India by rapid , planned development on all sectors and try to make her more and more scientifically minded . मुझे उम्मीद तो है कि अब , जब कि हिंदुस्तान को आजादी मिलने वाली है और हिंदुस्तान में विज्ञान भी जमाने के साथ आगे बढ़ रहा है , इस नये हिंदुस्तान की दिक़्कतों को तेजी से , सभी क्षेत्रों में योजनाबद्ध तरीके से विकास कर हल करने की कोशिश की जायेगी और उसके नजरिये को भी ज़्यादा से ज़्यादा वैज्ञानिक बनाने की कोशिश की जायेगी .
