In the mean while, due to his bravery & athleticism, Akbar Survived a fatal assassination bid on his life by an arrow, while returning from a madarsa constructed by his nanny(presently near old fort area)in 1566. However he suffered a deep wound in his arm. इसी बीच १५६६ में महाम अंका नामक उसकी धाय के बनवाये मदरसे (वर्तमान पुराने किले परिसर में) से शहर लौटते हुए अकबर पर तीर से एक जानलेवा हमला हुआ जिसे अकबर ने अपनी फुर्ती से बचा लिया हालांकि उसकी बांह में गहरा घाव हुआ।

The poet imagines himself carrying his burden of wares and hawking them from place to place , The King threatens to take his wares by force , the aged millionaire offers to buy them with gold , a lovely maiden tempts him with a smile , but the burden remainsuntil a child playing with a sea-shell pulls him by the sleeve and says , all this is mine . एक अधेड़ अमीर कहता है कि वह इन्हें सोने के बदले खरीद लेगा.एक खूबसूरत युवती उसे अपनी मुस्कान से रिझाना चाह रही है.लेकिन बोझ वैसा ही बना रहता है- जब तक कि हाथ में कुछ कौड़ियां लिए एक नन्हा-सा बालक उसकी बांह पकड़कर यह नहीं कहता कि ये सारी चीजें मेरी हैं .
