The underlying idea was to project through audio-visual means an integrated and healthy image of the country to members of foreign parliamentary delegations , visiting dignitaries/ students , tourists and others coming to Delhi . इस केंद्र का मूल उद्देश्य यह है कि दिल्ली आने वाले विदेशी संसदीय प्रतिनिधियों के सदस्यों के समक्ष तथा यहां आने वाले प्रतिष्ठित व्यक्तियों , छात्रों , पर्यटकों और अन्य लोगों के समक्ष श्रव्य-दृश्य साधनों के द्वारा देश की पूर्ण एवं प्रभावशाली तस्वीर पेश की जाये .

The basic aim of the Parliamentary Museum and Archives is to preserve the past and the present for the future by protecting from the ravages of time and neglect all the precious records , historic documents , and articles connected with the Constitution and Parliament and through them to make the history and growth of Parliamentary institutions and the political system better understpod . संसदीय संग्रहालय तथा अभिलेखागार का मूल उद्देश्य यह है कि संविधान तथा संसद से संबंधित वर्तमान काल के और भूतकाल के सभी बहुमूल्य अभिलेखों , ऐतिहासिक दस्तावेजों एवं वस्तुओं को , भावी पीढ़ियों के लिए , समय के साथ साथ और उपेक्षा के कारण नष्ट होने से बचाया जाये ताकि उनसे लोग संसदीय संस्थाओं तथा राजनीतिक प्रणाली के इतिहास और विकास को बेहतर समझ सकें .

A matter of urgent public importance , however , can be brought before the House through an adjournment motion by interrupting the regular business if the Speaker agrees to do so.2 The basic object of bringing an adjournment motion is to draw the attention of the House to a recent matter of urgent public importance haying serious consequences , and in regard to which moving a motion or resolution with proper notice will be too late . तथापि अवलिंबनीय लोक महत्व का कोई मामला , यदि अध्यक्ष उस पर सहमत हो जाए तो , नियमित कार्य को रोक कर स्थगन प्रस्ताव के द्वारा सदन के समक्ष लाया जा सकता है . 2 स्थगन प्रस्ताव पेश करने का मूल उद्देश्य हाल के किसी अविलंबनीय लोक महत्व के मामले की ओर , जिसके गंभीर परिणाम हो सकते हैं और जिसके संबंध में उचित सूचना देकर कोई प्रस्ताव या संकल्प पेश करने से बहुत देर हो
