With the establishment of the Reserve Bank of India in 1935 , the first important step was taken towards the evolution of a co-ordinated , federal financial organisation . सन् 1935 में रिजर्व बैंक आफ इंडिया की स्थापना से एक समन्वित संघीय वित्तीय संगठन के विकास की दिशा में महत्वपूर्ण कदम उठाया गया .

Adding to the pressure was a note from the RBI to banks asking them to pare down their exposure -LRB- estimated to be around Rs 5,000 crore -RRB- to the players in the capital market . इसी बीच रिजर्व बैंक ने पूंजी बाजार के ' खिलड़ियों ' को दी गई रकम ( करीब 5,000 करोड़े रु . ) कम करने संबंधी एक नोट बैंकों को जारी किया तो दबाव और बढे गया .
