Recovery of damages against the Government of India cannot be claimed by a State before the Supreme Court under article 131 . अनुच्छेद 131 के अधीन कोई राज्य उच्चतम न्यायलय के सामने भारत सरकार से हर्जाना वसूल करने का दावा नहीं कर सकता .

Criminal courts are supported out of public funds , as there is no provision in law for making the accused or guilty person pay the expenses , and small receipts from fines imposed cannot balance the expenses of maintaining the judiciary , staff , courts , prosecutors , police officers , etc . आपराधिक न्यायालयों का व्यय लोक निधियों में से उठाया जाता है , क़्योंकि विधि में ऐसा कोई उपबंध नहीं है कि अभियुक़्त या दोषी व्यक्ति से खर्च वसूल किया जाए , और जुर्माने के रूप में वसूल की गई स्वल्प राशियों में से न्यायपालिका , कर्मचारीवृंद , न्यायालयों , अभियोजकों , पुलिस अधिकारियों आदि के खर्च की पूर्ति नहीं की जा सकती .
