Apart from co-ordinating all schemes of power development , transmission and utilisation , it also undertook to organise investigations , surveys and research and to advise and assist the Central and state governments in matters relating to power development . विद्युत उत्पादन , प्रेषण और उपयोग की सभी योजनाओं में समन्वय करने के अतिरिक़्त , इस कमीशन ने विद्युत विकास से संबंधित विषयों में केंद्रीय और राज़्य सरकारों को सलाह और सहायता देने के उद्देश्य से अन्वेषण , अनुसंधान और सर्वेक्षण के अनेक कार्य संगठित किये .
