This is more so when we see that even the constructional details of the yazhs and the Sanskrit veenas were almost the same . यह संशय और भी बढ़ जाता है जब हम देखते हैं कि वीणा और यड़ के सरंचनात्मक वर्णन लगभग एक जैसे हैं .

One very important fact we cannot help noticing is that in India none of these veenas had any pegs . एक बहुत महत्वपूर्ण तथ्य यह वाद्य यंत्र है कि भारत में मिलने वाली किसी भी वीणा में खूंटी नहीं लगी होती .

Both from its construction and manner of handling it is clear that this zither is a descendent of the eka tantri . इसकी संरचना तथा पकडऋने के तरीके से यह स्पष्ट है कि यह वीणा एकतंत्री का ही एक परिविर्तत स्वरूप है .
