He has since spoken of “a long-lasting ideological struggle” in which totalitarians use terror “as a tool to intimidate the free.” He sees the enemy's goal as nothing less than a war to destroy America. It's not nikaah , it's prostitution by another name”), the Islamic authorities in India are almost all silent about this travesty of the Shari'a. For their part, Muslim politicians in the city of Hyderabad apparently could care less. “It's not on the poll agenda of any politician,” says Mazhar Hussain, director of a social welfare organization, the Confederation of Voluntary Associations. The Majlis-e-Ittihadul Muslameen, the main party of Hyderabad's Muslims, is blissfully unconcerned: “You cannot deny that the fortunes of many families have changed through such marriages,” MIM's president, Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi, cheerfully points out. Comments : प्रजवाला की मानव तस्करी विरोधी संगठन की प्रमुख सुनीता कृष्णन ने बड़ा ही स्वाभाविक कारण बताया कि यदि किसी लड़की को बेचा जाता है या उसकी जिन्दगी बर्बाद होती है तो इसे राष्ट्रीय क्षति नहीं माना जाता इसी कारण समाज और समुदाय के लिए यह कोई मुद्दा नहीं है.मिल्लते इस्लामिया ( एक स्थानीय संगठन जो पाकिस्तान के आतंकवादी संगठनों से नहीं जुड़ा है) के हमीमुद्दीन आकिल ने इन शादियों का खुलकर विरोध करते हुए इसे निकाह की आड़ में वेश्यावृत्ति बताया है . उन्हें छोड़कर भारत के शेष इस्लामिक संगठन शरीयत के इस दुरुपयोग पर मौन साधे हैं.एक सामाजिक संगठन Confederation of voluntary associations के निदेशक मजहर हुसैन के अनुसार यह विषय किसी भी राजनीतिक दल के चुनाव का मुद्दा नहीं है और मुस्लिम राजनेता भी इससे बेपरवाह हैं. हैदराबाद के मुसलमानों की प्रमुख पार्टी मजलिसे इत्तिहादुल मुस्लमिन के पार्टी अध्यक्ष सुल्तान सलाहुद्दीन ओवैसी तो यहां तक कहते हैं कि “आप इस बात से इंकार नहीं कर सकते कि ऐसी शादियों से अनेक परिवारों का भाग्य बदल गया है ..”.
