The government having declined to fulfil the demand , he continued his fast till the bitter end and diecl in prison on 13th September 1929 . सरकार ने यह मांग ठुकरा दी.अंतत : वह अनशन के ही दौरान 13 सितंबर , 1929 को शहीद हो गया .
