The Forum Museum ( " Antiquarium Forense " ) is found at the Colosseum end of a modern road, the Via dei Fori Imperiali.

This new layout, however, did not last long, as in 1879 the vases collection was moved out of the Antiquarium into the new building.

In 1895, he began work at the Antikensammlung Berlin ( Antiquarium ), subsequently spending several years as a directorial assistant ( 1897-1903 ).

The underground level ( Level 0 ) houses the " Antiquarium ", where Roman and Moorish remains discovered on site are displayed in a museum.

In one of these was found the skeleton of a young woman together with a superbly crafted articulated ivory doll, now conserved in the " Antiquarium comunale ".
