The actual data mining task is the automatic or semi-automatic analysis of large quantities of data to extract previously unknown, interesting patterns such as groups of data records ( cluster analysis ), unusual records ( anomaly detection ), and dependencies ( association rule mining, sequential pattern mining ).

Avinux is another tool that facilitates the automatic analysis of Linux device drives and is build on top of bounded model checker CBMC . There exist fault localization methods to find the bug location as these model checking tools return a long counter example trace and it is hard to find the exact faulty location.
