Those who were thought as hated and untouchables by Indian society, became the heroes in his creations. So with the increasing contact between the Emperor and his Hindu subjects the Persian language became more popular among the Hindus . But the direct and most effective cause of Persian becoming the common language of Hindus and Muslims was that perhaps for the first time in the history of India , Akbar opened a large number of government schools in which Hindu and Muslim children were taught together through the medium of Persian . तरह सम्राट और उनकी हिंदू प्रजा के बीच बढ़ते हुए संपर्क के कारण परशियन भाषा हिंदओं के बीच और अधिक लोकप्रिय बन गयी , किंतु परशियन का हिंदुओं और मुसलमानों की भाषा बनने का सीधा और सबसे प्रभावशाली कारण यह था कि शायद भारत के इतिहास में पहली बार अकबर ने बड़ी संख़्या में शासकीय स्कूल खोले , जिनमें हिंदू और मुसलमान के बच्चों को एक साथ परशियन भाषा के माध्यम से पढ़ाया जाता था .

The bulk of the chapter looks at forces that weaken or strengthen Muslim unity. The former include a lack of a common language, religious schisms, geographical separation, economic disparities, political rivalries, and what the report indelicately calls a “prostitution of leadership.” This last is not so much an excoriation of Muslim kings, presidents, and emirs, but a review of how several non-Muslim powers, ending with the Soviet Union, have claimed to be the Protectors of Islam.
