Antennae brown ringed with white; club black, ochraceous at apex; head, thorax and abdomen concolourous with the wings; beneath, the palpi, thorax and abdomen slightly paler than the wings.

The ground colour of the forewings is cream, partly suffused with ochreous consisting of two postbasal fasciae and a submedian fascia divided by olive brownish lines which are concolourous with the basal and costo-posterior areas.

These differ from the wet-season brood as follows : male upperside, forewing : the apical and terminal black areas much restricted; veins concolourous; black subterminal bare less clearly defined; the lower one often obsolete.

The ground colour of the forewings is white cream, forming two transverse fasciae in the basal half of the wing, divided by parallel olive ochreous fasciae which are concolourous with a basal blotch and brown edged costal divisions.
