The owner, Marilyn Barlow, is excited about a very fragrant night-blooming tobacco ( Nicotiana x sanderae ) in shades of white and pale pink to rose and purple, which originated from the Flower and Herb Exchange in Decorah, Iowa, and a claret-red Polish amaranth ( Amaranthus cruentus ), " a nice tall, sturdy plant, with very airy flower heads, so it stands by itself without having to tie it ."
