The percentages obtained are 49 instead of 50 , the remaining 2 per cent being made up by flies with red eyes and curled wings and with pink eyes and straight wings in equal proportion . परंतु प्रत्यक्ष प्रयोग करने के बद इन दो किस्म की मक़्खियों का 50 न होकर 49 होने की बात का पता चलता है.शेष दो प्रतिशत संतानों में लाल आंखें तथा मुड़े हुए पुख और गुलाबी आंखें तथा सीधे पंख वाली मक़्खियां दिखाई देती हैं .

Since the normal conditions of red eyes and straight wings are dominant over the recessive traits pink eyes and curled wings- , the genotype of the double dominant homozygote with red eyes and straight wings is AA/BB whereas that of the double recessive homozygote with pink eyes and curled wings is aa/bb . लाल आंखें तथा सीधे पंख वाला सम युग़्मज आ/भ् , आ/भ् होगा तथा दोहरा अप्रबल सत युग़्मज अ/ब् , अ/ब् होगा ; तथा इससे उत्पन्न संतानों की आंखें गुलाबी होंगी , पंख मुड़े हुए होंगे .

When the females from such hybrid offsprings are mated to monozygote male flies with pink eyes and curled wings , a back-cross -LRB- R2 -RRB- generation consisting of 50 per cent of flies with red eyes and straight wingsthe hybrid Aa/Bb and 50 per cent flies with pink eyes and curled wingsthe pure bred double recessive aa/bb should arise . जब इन संकर पीढ़ी करी मादाओं को गुलाबी आंखों तथा मुड़े हुए पंखों के नर मक़्खियों से प्रजनित किया जाता है तो पितृ संकरण ( ष्2 ) पीढ़ी की संतानों में 50 प्रतिशत मक़्खियों की आंखें गुलाबी तथा पंख मुड़े हुए और 50 प्रतिशत मक़्खियां लाल आंखों वाली तथा सीधे पंखों वाली होनी चाहिए .
