The conversion in CHO cells of cystein to formylglycine was examined using aminooxy AlexaFluor 488 and subsequent SDS-PAGE . However, fluorescence scanning displayed no fluorescence labelling, i . e . no formylglycine formation by endogenous FGE in CHO cells.
