The Documentation Service is mainly responsible for locating , collecting and subject-classifying/cataloguing of books , reports , periodicals , press clippings and documents of all kinds received and maintained in the library , and then abstracting/making available the relevant material for the use of members of Parliament in their day-to-day parliamentary work . प्रलेखन सेवा का मुख्य कार्य पुस्तकालय में प्राप्त होने वाली तथा रखी जाने वाली सभी पुस्तकों , रिपोर्टों , पत्र-पत्रिकाओं , समाचारपत्रों की कतरनों और प्रलेखों को ठीक स्थान पर रखना उनका संग्रह करना और उनका विषयगत वर्गीकरण अथवा सूचीकरण करना और तत्पश्चात संसद सदस्यों को उनके दिन प्रतिदिन के संसदीय कार्य में प्रयोग के लिए संबंधित सामग्री के सारांश उपलब्ध कराना है .
