These are additional session courts.The are formed for speedy disposal of long pending crime and under trial cases.The reason behind is that long cases are a loss to justice and the breaking power of justice becomes weak and jails become crowded.On the advise of finance commission the central government has instructed state governments to set up 1734 fast track courts with effect from 01 April 2001.Additional session judges or judges retired from higher positions are appointed as judges in such courts.In this kind of courts, it is not possible to make a trial pending.All trials are to be decided within a stipulated time period. ये अतिरिक्त सत्र न्यायालय है इनक गठन दीर्घावधि से लंबित अपराध तथा अंडर ट्रायल वादों के तीव्रता से निपटारे हेतु किया गया है इसके पीछे कारण यह था कि वाद लम्बा चलने से न्याय की क्षति होती है तथा न्याय की निरोधक शक्ति कम पड जाती है जेल मे भीड बढ जाती है 10 वे वित्त आयोग की सलाह पर केद्र सरकार ने राज्य सरकारों को 1 अप्रेल 2001 से 1734 फास्ट ट्रेक कोर्ट गठित करने का आदेश दिया अतिरिक्त सेशन जज याँ उंचे पद से सेवानिवृत जज इस प्रकार के कोर्टो मे जज होता है इस प्रकार के कोर्टो मे वाद लंबित करना संभव नहीं होता हैहर वाद को निर्धारित स्मय मे निपटाना होता है
