Under the new enactments , a Gram Sabha of adult residents in the village was constituted , and it was made obligatory on the Panchayats to hold meetings of the Gram Sabha within two months from the commencement of every financial year and to prepare an annual statement of accounts to be placed before such a meeting . नए अधिनियमों के अधीन , गांव के वयस्क निवासियों की एक ग्राम सभा गठित की जाती थी और पंचायतों कें लिए यह आवश्यक था कि वे प्रत्येक वित्त वर्ष के आरंभ होने के दो मास के भीतर ग्राम सभा की बैठक बुलाएं और वार्षिक लेखा विवरण तैयार करके बैठक में प्रस्तुत करें .

Besides his existing power to veto any Bill passed by the Legislature or to reserve the same for the signification of His Majesty 's pleasure , the Governor-General was given the power to secure the enactment of laws which he considered essential for the safety , tranquility or interests of British India , or any part of British India . विधानमंडल द्वारा पास किए गए किसी भी विधेयक को वीटो करने अथवा उसे महामहिम की इच्छा जानने के लिए रखने की उसकी वर्तमान शक्ति के अतिरिक्त , गर्वनर-जनरल को ऐसे विधान अधिनियमति कराने की शक्ति प्रदान की गई जो ब्रिटिश इंडिया अथवा ब्रिटिश इंडिया के किसी भाग की सुरक्षा , शांति या हित साधन के लिए आवश्यक समझे .
