Trade relations between Arabia and south India had existed for many centuries before the emergence of Islam , But in the seventh century when Islam infused the Arabs with a new spirit of adventure and enterprise , their foreign trade increased by leaps and bounds and the conquest of Iran gave them the monopoly of Indo-Iranian maritime trade . इसऋ-ऊण्श्छ्ष्-लाम धर्म के उदय के पहले , अरब और दक्षिण भारत के बीच वऋ-ऊण्श्छ्ष्-यापार संबंध अनेक शताबऋ-ऊण्श्छ्ष्-दियों तक कायम रहा.परंतु 7वी शताबऋ-ऊण्श्छ्ष्-दी में जब इसऋ-ऊण्श्छ्ष्-लाम ने अरबवासियों में साहस और उद्य की नयी भावना उनऋ-ऊण्श्छ्ष्-पनऋ-ऊण्श्छ्ष्-न की , तब उनका वैदेशिक वऋ-ऊण्श्छ्ष्-यापार बडऋई तेजी से बढऋने लगा और ऋरान पर विलय से उनऋ-ऊण्श्छ्ष्-हें भारर्तऋरान नाविक वऋ-ऊण्श्छ्ष्-यापार का एकाधिकार मिल गया .
