Safian finds an inconsistency and thus a “serious problem” in this note: on CNN's Reliable Sources Mr. Ricks described his source as “some U.S. military analysts,” while in the note he describes his source as “a senior Israeli official.” Which raises the question of whether Mr. Ricks had any source at all - besides himself, that is. The executive editor of the Washington Post, Leonard Downie Jr., has rebuked one of his Pulitzer-Prize winning reporters for suggesting on television that Israel was purposely leaving Hezbollah rockets in Lebanon “because as long as they're being rocketed, they can continue to have a sort of moral equivalency in their operations.” ... ऐसी शक्ति के साथ अंतर्निहित है कि जब पश्चिम किसी गैर-पश्चिम से युद्ध करता है तो युद्ध भूमि का परिणाम पता होता है .वह पहले ही तय हो जाता है और यह युद्ध एक परंपरागत युद्ध के स्थान पर एक पुलिस का छापा अधिक लगता है .पुलिस छापे की भांति ही आधुनिक युद्ध का आकलन उसकी वैधानिकता , शत्रुता की अवधि , सेना के अनुपात ,क्षति की गंभीरता और आर्थिक तथा पर्यावरणिक क्षति की सीमा से किया जाता है .

Certain special provisions have been made in the Constitution , and the Chief Justice , by virtue of Article 146 , has been given the power to appoint the staff of the court , to lay down the conditions of service of the said staff -LRB- without reference to any outside authority except in regard to pension , salary and allowances and leave , where consultation with the President is stipulated -RRB- with a view to avoiding any inconsistency in the pay structure of the staff of Supreme Court and that of the corresponding classes of other government servants . संविधान में कुछ विशेष उपबंध किए गए हैं , और अनुच्छेद 146 के आधार पर , मुख़्य न्यायमूर्ति को यह शक्ति प्रदान की गई है कि वह न्यायालय के कर्मचारी वर्ग की नियुक्ति कर सके और इन कर्मचारियों की सेवा-शर्तें अवधारित कर सके ( ऐसा करते समय उसे किसी बाहरी प्राधिकारी से पूछने की आवश्यकता नहीं है ; पेंशन , वेतन , भत्ते और छुट्टी के बारे में निर्णय करते समय उसे राष्ट्रपति से परामर्श करना होगा पर यह शर्त उस दृष्टि से लगाई गई है कि उच्चतम न्यायालय और अन्य सरकारी कर्मचारियों के अनुरूप वर्गों की वेतन संरचना में असंगति न हो .

Hadith claim Mecca was a great trading city but, strangely, the historical record reveals it as no such thing. एक अत्यंत अच्छी तरह लिखी गयी , सौम्य और स्पष्ट लेखा जोखा से वे इस बात से आरम्भ करते हैं और प्रदर्शित करते हैं कि मोहम्मद के जीवन , कुरान और आरम्भिक इस्लाम के सम्बंध में परम्परागत रूप से जो माना जाता है उसमें असंगतता और रहस्य हैं। उदाहरण के लिये जहाँ कुरान इस बात पर जोर देता है कि मोहम्मद ने चमत्कार नहीं किये थे तो वहीं हदीथ ने उन्हे असाधारण शक्तियों वाला बताया है जिसमें कि भोजन को द्विगुणित कर देना, घायल को ठीक कर देना , आकाश और धरती से जल निकाल देना और यहाँ तक कि अपने स्वर्ण से प्रकाश भेजना। यह सब क्या है? हदीथ का दावा है कि मक्का एक महान व्यापारिक शहर था लेकिन ऐतिहासिक आँकडे ऐसी किसी बात की पुष्टि नहीं करते।
