They were taken care of as part of the displaced persons by international refugee organisations until 1951 and then by West German authorities granting them the extra status of heimatloser Ausl�nder with preferential naturalisation rules, distinct from other legal aliens or stateless people.

After Neumann-Neurode's death Ruth Neumann-Neurode moved the School to P�hl, near Weilheim, in southern Germany, where her daughter, Margrit von Kleist, born Burckhardt, was employed as a teacher and also worked in a children's hospital established by the IRO ( International Refugee Organisation ) in Dorfen and headed by Dr . Fladerer.
