This life certificate was given to those who had graduated from Peabody Normal College in Nashville, TN . " That the graduates from Peabody Normal College, Nashville, Tennessee, in the degree of Licentiate of Instruction, and any higher degrees conferred by said institution, shall be recognized in this State as certified for life as teachers in any and all public schools.
