These and many other poems of varying quality and depicting a variety of moods and feelings were published at the end of the year in a volume named appropriately , Rogasajyay -LRB- On the Sickbed , 1940 -RRB- . यह और ऐसी अन्य कविताएं जो वर्ष के अंत में प्रकाशित हुई थीं , कवि की विभिन्न मनोदशाओं एवं संवेदनाओं को दर्शाती हैं और जिनमें तरह तरह की बातों को व्याख्या करके बताया गया था.इस कविता का नाम था ? रोग शय्या ? ( रोग शय्या पर , 1940 ) परिस्थिति के अनुरूप ही इसका शीर्षक था .

There is a large variety of themes and moods depicted in this and the three volumes of prose-poems which followed , some playful , some serious or even metaphysical , some frivolous , some sad , some narrative , some lyrical , some sentimental and some devastating in their irony . इसमें विभिन्न विषय-वस्तु और विभिन्न मनोदशाओं का समावेश है.गद्य कविता में तीन अन्य ग्रंथ बाद में भी लिखे गए.इनमें से कुछ लघु भाव के , कुछ गंभीर या आध्यात्मिक और कुछ निरर्थक , कुछ दुख भरे , कुछ वर्णनात्मक , कुछ संगीतमय , कुछ भावनात्मक और कुछ तीखे व्यंग्य सम्मिलित थे .

But even in these moods when the poet has almost deliberately laid aside his role of the prophet or priest or the modern intellectual , and wishes to savour the simple delights of sight and sound and to lose himself in his dreams , he cannot avoid for long the rude knockings of the tempest raging outside . लेकिन इस भावदशा में भी कवि बड़ी चतुराई से अपने मसीहा , धर्म-प्रचारक और विद्वान की भूमिका से अलग हटकर यही चाहते हैं कि वे श्रव्य और दृश्य की सीधी-सादी प्रसन्नताओं को भोग सकें , वे अपने आपको सपनों में डुबोना चाहते थे , पर बाहर चल रहे तूफान की क्रूर दस्तक को ज्यादा देर तक नहीं रोक सकते थे .
