The last factor which took the form of religious nationalism was the major force which in those days inspired a large number of brave young men to engage themselves in revolutionary activities for the liberation of the motherland . यह अंतिम तत्व जिसने उन दिनों धार्मिक राष्ट्रवादी का रूप धारण कर लिया था एक ऐसी प्रभावकारी शक़्ति बन गया जिसने बड़ी संख़्या में सहासी युवकों को मातृभूमि को स्वतंत्रता दिलाने के लिए क्रांतिकारी गतिविधियां अपनाने को प्रेरित किया .

I took part in this fight as a member of the regularly organised fighting forces of independent Provisional Government of Free India , which fought according to the rules of civilised warfare for the liberation of my motherland from foreign rule . मैंने इस युद्ध में आजाद हिंद की अंतरिम सरकार की उन व्यवस्थित और नियमित युद्धरत सेनाओं के सदस्य के तौर पर भाग लिया , जिन्होंने विदेशी शासन से अपनी मातृभूमि को आजाद कराने के लिए , युद्ध के सभ्य नियमों के अनुसार ही लड़ाई छेड़ी थी .

“ I am prepared to face ungrudgingly the extreme penalty of your laws in the belief that it is through sufferings and sacrifice alone that our beloved motherland can march on to an assured if not a speedy triumph . ” “ मैं आपके कानूनों द्वारा दिए गये इस कठोर दंड को बिना किसी द्वेष के झेलने को तैयार हूं , क्योंकि मेरा विश्वास है कि सिर्फ त्याग करने और कष्ट सहने से ही हमारी प्यारी मातृभूमि बेशक तीव्र गति से न सही , लेकिन एक सुनिश्चित विजय की तरफ अग्रसर होगी . ”

I feel that you have come with an errand to usher a new light of hope in your motherland . . . कारावासों , निर्वासनों ओर रोगों ने तुम्हारी क्षमताओं को बहुत हलकान किया , मगर उन्हें क्षति पहुंचाना तो दूर , उन पीड़ाओं ने तुम्हारी संवेदनाओं को विस्तार दिया , जिससे तुम्हारी दृष्टि व्यापक हुई और तुम क्षेत्रीय संकीर्णताओं से परे रहकर इतिहास के विराट परिप्रेक्ष्य को हृदयंगम कर सके . . . मुझे लगता है , तुम अपनी मातृभूमि के लिए नयी रोशनी और उम्मीद के संदेशवाहक बनकर आये हो .
