After the sun has risen , he is at liberty to break the fast at that moment if he likes , or , if he prefers , he may postpone it till noon . सूर्योदय हो जाने के बाद वह चाहे तो उसी क्षण व्रत खोल सकता है और यदि उसकी इच्छा अन्यथा हो तो उस दिन दोपहर तक उसे टाल भी सकते हैं .

When , then , the moon reaches the meridian of noon and midnight , the water recedes in the ebb , and the place becomes again visible . फिर जब चंद्रमा मध्याह्न और मध्य रात्रि के याम्योत्तर वृत्त पर पहुंचता है , तो भाटे के कारण पानी पीछे हट जाता है और वह स्थान फिर दिखाई देने लगता है .

Then he proceeds , prepares -LRB- and takes -RRB- his food on the day before the fast-day at noon , cleans his teeth by rubbing , and fixes his thoughts on the fasting of the following day . इसके बाद वह व्रत की तैयारी करता है ओर व्रत के एक दिन पहले दोपहर के समय अपना भोजन बनाकर करता है , दातुन करके अपने दांत मांजता है और अपना चित्त अगले दिन के व्रत पर स्थिर कर देता है .

He dwells in the house of the master , which he only leaves in order to ask for a gift and to beg in not more than five houses once a day , either at noon or in the evening . वह गुरु के घर में रहता है और वहां से तभी निकलता है जब उसे भिक्षा मांगनी होती है और वह दिन में पांच से अधिक घरों से भिक्षा नहीं मांगता.यह भिक्षाटन वह दोपहर को और/या संध्या के समय करता है .

Then people bathe , dress festively , make 1st Karttika presents to each other of betel-leaves and areca-nuts ; they ride to the temples to give alms and play merrily with each other till noon . इस दिन लोग स्नान करते हैं , बढ़िया कपड़े पहनते हैं , एक-दूसरे को पान-सुपारी भेंट देते हैं , घोड़े परसवार होकर दान देने मंदिर जाते हैं , और एक-दूसरे के साथ दोपहर तक हर्षोल्लास के साथ खेलते हैं .

This kind is called upavasa , i.e . the fasting : for the not-eating from Another kind , called kncchra , is this : A man takes his food on some day at noon , and on the following day in the evening . इस प्रकार का व्रत ? उपवास ? कहलाता है जिसका अर्थ है भूखे रहना , जबकि एक दोपहर से दूसरी दोपहर तक भोजन न करना उपवास नहीं , ? एकनक़्ल ? कहलाता है.एक ओर व्रत जो ? कृच्छ ? कहलाता है , यह है : कोई आदमी किसी दिन दोपहर को भोजन करता है और ZZफिर अगले दिन शाम को खाता है .
