About the nature of the Treaty of Amritsar , he said : ” I tried to make it perfectly clear that in the text of that speech it is amply clear that a certain historical controversy had been started by Mr Potedar , and the extensive reference to the Treaty of Amritsar , its origin , and the consequences which flowed from it , were really nothing more than a mere reply to Mr Fotedar 's contention . अमृतसर्रसंधि की प्रऋति के विषय में उनऋ-ऊण्श्छ्ष्-होंने कहाः ” मैं यह सऋ-ऊण्श्छ्ष्-पषऋ-ऊण्श्छ्ष्-ट कर देना चाहता हूं कि इस भाषण के मूल पाठ में यह एकदम साफ है कि श्री फोतेदार द्वारा एक खास ऐतिहासिक विवाद शुरू किया गया था.उस भाषण में अमृतसर्र संधि , उसके जनऋ-ऊण्श्छ्ष्-म और परिणामों के संदर्भ में किये गये संकेत श्री फोतेदार के दावों का जवाब भर थे
