I do imagine that eventually among the strong acids the limiting factor becomes not the H + concentration but the conjugate base which will " take away " the proton on substances that do not like to be protonated, even if the H + concentration is very high-- because then the conjugate base concentration is very high too, and the conjugate base becomes a better proton acceptor than whatever is being protonated.
