In the case of SAL the ' court has refused permission to the petitioner to abandon the petition and withdraw from the proceedings on the ground that the status of dominus litis cannot be conferred on a person who brings a public interest litigation as that would render the proceedings in public interest litigations “ vulnerable to and susceptible of a new dimension which might , in conceivable cases , be used by persons for personal ends resulting in prejudice to the public weal ” . सामाऋक कार्रवाऋ वाद में नऋ-ऊण्श्छ्ष्-यायालय ने याचिकादाता को याचिका को वापस लेने और कार्रवाइयों से सऋ-ऊण्श्छ्ष्-वयं को अलग होने की अनुमति देने से इस आधार पर इनकार कर दिया है कि लोकहित वाद लाने वाले वऋ-ऊण्श्छ्ष्-यि> को वार्दसऋ-ऊण्श्छ्ष्-वामी का दर्जा नहीं दिया जा सकता कऋ-ऊण्श्छ्ष्-योंकि इससे लोकहित वादों की कार्रवाइयां ऋएक नए आयाम के प्रति असुरक्षित और उससे प्रभावित हो सकती हैं ऋसका कुछ मामलों में , लोग अपने वऋ-ऊण्श्छ्ष्-यक्गित सऋ-ऊण्श्छ्ष्-वार्थों के लिए उपयोग कर सकते हैं और उससे लोकहित को हानि पहुंच सकती है .
