This assembly's important members were Jawaharlal Nehru, De. Rajendra Prasad, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, Shyama Prasad Mukharjee and Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. जवाहरलाल नेहरू डॉ राजेन्द्र प्रसाद सरदार वल्लभ भाई पटेल श्यामा प्रसाद मुखर्जी मौलाना अबुल कलाम आजाद आदि इस सभा के प्रमुख सदस्य थे।

According to this inscription Chola king Rajendra II conquered the Nicobar group of islands during an overseas expedition led by him in the beginning of the llth century . इस शिलालेख के अनुसार चोल राजा राजेन्द्र द्वितीय ने ग्यारहवीं शताब्दी के पूर्वार्द्ध में अपने समुद्र पार के अभियान में इन द्वीपों को जीता था .

Rajendra Prasad in his concluding speech observed that they had been able , on the whole , to draft a good constitution which he trusted would serve the country well . राजेन्द्र प्रसाद ने अपने समापन भाषण में विचार व्यक्त किया कि संविधान सभा सब मिलाकर एक अच्छा संविधान बनाने में सफल रही है और उन्हें विश्वास है कि यह देश की जरूरतों को अच्छी तरह से पूरा करेगा .

The wholly apsidal and multi-storeyed main vimana , built of blackstone of the Tiruvorriyur temple near Madras , is another fine temple , though it is a smaller structure of Rajendra I Chola . मद्रास के निकट तिरूवोर्रियुर मंदिर का काले पत्थरों से निर्मित पूर्णरूपेण अर्धवृत्ताकार और बहुमजिला मुख़्य विमान एक अन्य उत्कृष्ट मंदिर है , तथापि यह राजेन्द्र प्रथम चोल की एक अपेक्षाकृत छोटी संरचना है .

This magnum opus of the Cholas started in 1003 , and still incomplete in a few of its details , was closely followed , within about twenty years , by another magnificent Chola structure , also called the Brihadisvara , built almost on the same plan and design by Rajendra I Chola -LRB- 1012-1014 -RRB- , the great son and worthy successor of Rajaraja . चोलों की यह भव्य रचना सन् 1003 में आरंभ हुई थी , और अपनी कुछ सूक्ष्मताओं की दृष्टि से यह अभी अपूर्ण ही थी कि बीस वर्ष के भीतर ही एक अन्य चोल संरचना का निर्माण आरंभ कर दिया गया और उसे भी बृहदीश्वर नाम दिया गया.इसका निर्माण राजराजा के महान पुत्र और योग़्य उत्तराधिकारी-राजेंद्र प्रथम चोल द्वारा उसी आयोजना और प्रतिमान पर करवाया गया .
