Roof : Extensive repairs to slates and ridge tiles, including the replacement of the entire roof slates over the side transept; end gable steel straps had to be replaced.

It is listed at Grade II . Close to the church, and also listed at Grade II, is a hearse house built in red sandstone with a slate roof and red ridge tiles.

Standing on a red-coloured concrete slab on fill it is covered by a low-pitched hipped corrugated sheet roof with half round ridge tiles and quad gutters, all of asbestos cement.

The presence of Pennant sandstone roofing tiles and a fragment of a 14th-century glazed ridge tile indicate the existence of a substantial medieval building, possibly a chapel, demolished when the present farmhouse was constructed.

The reliefs were used as friezes at the top of a wall below the roof, and in other exterior locations, such as ridge tiles and antefixes, but also as decoration of interiors, typically with a number of sections forming a horizontal frieze.
