The dependence on a few markets for staple exports rendered our exports vulnerable to the economic conditions and commercial policies in the importing countries and to the successful development of substitutes for jute products . कच्चे माल के निर्यात के लिए कुछ ही बाजारों पर हमारी इस निर्भरता ने हमारे निर्यात को , आयात करने वाले देशों की आर्थिक परिस्थितियों पर वाणिज़्यिक नीतियों के संदर्भ में कमजोर बना दिया और इससे जूट निर्मित वस्तुओं के विकल्पों के विकास में सफलता मिली .

In the area of synthetic fibres , the Plan aimed at raising the output of nylon filament yarn -LRB- NFY -RRB- from 17,000 tonnes in 1979-80 to 28,000 tonnes in 1984-85 , that of polyester staple fibre -LRB- PSF -RRB- from 23,600 tonnes to 55,000 tonnes and that of polyester filament yarn -LRB- PFY -RRB- from 9,000 tonnes to 18,000 tonnes . सिंथेटिक फाइबर के क्षेत्र में , नाइलोन फिलामेंट धागे का उत्पादन सन् 1979-80 के 17,700 टन से सन् 1984-85 में 28,000 टन , पालिस्टर स्टेपल फाइबर का उत्पादन 23,600 से 55,000 टन तथा पोलिस्टर फिलामेंट धागे का उत्पादन 9000 टन से बढ़ाकर 18,000 टन तक लाने का लक्ष्य योजना में रखा गया था .
