In the earlier and simpler examples , these are merely plastered over , with a large looped garland girdling the anda picked out in stucco as an adornment . प्रारंभ में तो उनके ऊपर एक पऋ-ऊण्श्छ्ष्-लासऋ-ऊण्श्छ्ष्-टर जैसा लेप चढऋआ दिया जाता था और अंड के ऊपर एक छलऋ-ऊण्श्छ्ष्-लेदार बडऋई माला उसकी सजऋ-ऊण्श्छ्ष्-जा के रूप में बनाऋ जाती थी.ये चूना पतऋ-ऊण्श्छ्ष्-थर की चट्टानें यहां बहुतायत से प्रापऋ-ऊण्श्छ्ष्-त होती थीं .

Also it has been demonstrated that the original dedication of the Mahishamardini cave-temple was to Vishnu , subsequently made Saivite in the same century by the introduction of the large Somaskanda panel , on the lined wall of the shrine , in place of the original Vishnu that was perhaps a painted stucco . यह भी बताया गया है कि महिषमर्दिनी गुफा मंदिर मूल रूप से विष्णु को समर्पित था , किंतु बाद में उसी शताब्दी में मंदिर की पिछली दीवार पर मूल रूप में विष्णु ( जो शायद रंगीन गचकारी से निर्मित था ) के स्थान पर एक बड़ा सोमस्कंद फलक बनाकर शैव मंदिर में परिवर्तित कर दिया गया .

The Nayaka period in Tamil Nadu witnessed the addition of elaborate mandapas of the hundred-pillared type , and larger gopuras with a greater number of plastic stucco figures on them , as at Vellore and Madurai , their tallest gopura superstructure being at Srivilliputtur -LRB- Ramanathapuram district -RRB- in front of the Vatapatrasayin temple . नायक काल में तमिलनाडु में शतस्तभं श्रेणी के विशद मंडप , और बड़े गोपुर जिन पर अनेक रूपंकर गचकारी की आकृतियां बनी हैं , देखें गए.इसके उदाहरण हैं वेल्लोर और मदुरै और उनकी सर्वाधिक ऊंची गोपुर अधिरचना श्री विल्लिपुत्तूर ( जिला रामनाथपुरम ) में वातपत्रशायी मंदिर के सामने हैं .

The only difference was that the temples were made of more permanent material , like brick and wrought timber , more lavishly decorated with plaster , stucco , carving and painting , and often larger in dimensions in contrast to the humbler mud-and-wattle-walled , thatch-roofed houses of the common folk . केवल अंतर इतना होता था कि मंदिर को अधिक सऋ-ऊण्श्छ्ष्-थायितऋ-ऊण्श्छ्ष्-व देने वाली सामग्री , जैसे ऋंट , मजबूत लकडऋई आदि से बनया जाता था.उन पर पलसऋ-ऊण्श्छ्ष्-तर भी अचऋ-ऊण्श्छ्ष्-छा होता था तथा तरह तरह की चित्रकारी एवं पचऋ-ऊण्श्छ्ष्-चीकारी का काम भी सजावट के लिए किया जाता था.वे भवन विशाल भी होते थे.जबकि साधारण जनों के आवास मिट्टी ठट्ठर के बने होते र्थे उन पर साधारण छपऋ-ऊण्श्छ्ष्-पर होता था.तथा आकार में भी वे छोटे हाते थे .
