He is the Supreme Commander of the Indian Armed Forces.he can declare and withdraw all type of emergencies,he can can declare war or conclude peace.he is the first citizen of country.All important treaties and contracts are made in presidents name. वह सशस्त्र सेनाओं का सर्वोच्च सेनानायक भी होता हैसभी प्रकार के आपातकाल लगाने व हटाने वाला युद्ध शांति की घोषणा करने वाला होता है वह देश का प्रथम नागरिक है तथा राज्य द्वारा जारी वरीयता क्रम मे उसका सदैव प्रथम स्थान होता है।

The 5th July 1943 , Netaji called it “ the proudest day of my life ” , as on that day he reviewed for the first time as its Supreme Commander the Azad Hind Fauj drawn up in battle formation on the spacious grounds facing the Town Hall in Singapore . जुलाई , 1943 की 5 तारीख को नेताजी ने अपने जीवन का ? सर्वाधिक वैभवशाली दिन ? बताया , क़्योंकि उस दिन सिंगापुर टाउन-हॉल के सामनेवाले विशाल मैदान में उन्होंने पहली बार सर्वोच्च सेनापति-सुप्रीम कमांडर-के रूप में रण-तत्पर आजाद हिंद फौज की सलामी ली थी .
