KLANG, Tues .-The Union of Employees of Port Ancillary Services Suppliers, Port Klang, today submitted a memorandum to the Klang Port Authority on problems faced by tally clerks at the port.

He said tally clerks were also paid casual wages for overtime work when the overtime rate should not be less than one and half times the hourly wages of the employee concerned.

In the memorandum, Balasubramaniam said even though KPA had found remedies to a number of problems faced by the tally clerks, especially in reducing the number of licences issued to contractors and taking action against errant ones, the problems continued to persist.
