The functions of the Committee are mainly to consider the Report of the Commissioner for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and report to the Parliament as to the measures taken or required to be taken by the government thereon . समिति के मुख्य कृत्य अनुसूचित जातियों और अनुसूचित जनजातियों के आयुक्त के प्रतिवेदन पर विचार करना और संसद में इस बारे में प्रतिवेदन पेश करना है कि उन पर सरकार द्वारा क्या उपाय किए गए हैं या करने अपेक्षित हैं .

Eliciting Opinion : If a motion for circulation of the Bill for the purpose of eliciting opinion thereon is adopted , the Secretariat of the House circulates letters to all the State governments and Union territories asking them to publish the Bill in their Gazettes for inviting opinions of local bodies , associations , individuals or institutions concerned with the Bill . राय जानना ः यदि किसी विधेयक पर राय जानने के लिए उसे परिचालित करने का प्रस्ताव , स्वीऋत होता है तो उस सदन का सचिवालय सभी राज्य सरकारों और संघ राज्य क्षेत्रों को पत्र भेजकर उनसे कहता है कि वे विधेयक से संबंधित स्थानीय निकायों , संघों , व्यि>यों या संस्थाओं की राय आमंत्रित करने के लिए अपने अपने राजपत्रों में उसे प्रकाशित करें .

The functions of the Committee are to examine the reports and accounts of the public undertakings specified in the Rules of Procedure and the reports of the Comptroller and Auditor-General thereon , if any , and to examine , in the context of the autonomy and efficiency of the public undertakings , whether the affairs of the public undertakings are being managed in accordance with sound business principles and prudent commercial practices . समिति के कृत्य इस प्रकार हैं : प्रक्रिया नियमों में उल्लिखित सरकारी उपक्रमों के प्रतिवेदनों और लेखाओं की और उन पर नियंत्रक महालेखापरीक्षक के प्रतिवेदनों की , यदि कोई हों तो , जांच करना और देखना कि क्या सरकारी उपक्रमों की स्वायत्तता और कार्यकुशलता के संदर्भ में सरकारी उपक्रमों के कार्य समुचित व्यापार सिद्धांतों और विवेकपूर्ण वाणिज्यिक प्रथाओं के अनुसार चलाए जा रहे हैं .

After the report of the Select or Joint Committee on a Bill has been presented to the House , the minister may make any one of these motions ? that the Bill as reported , be taken into consideration or that the Bill , as reported , be committed to the same Committee or to a new Committee or that the Bill be circulated or recirculated , as the case may be , for the purpose of eliciting opinion or further opinion thereon . विधेयक पर प्रवर या संयुक्त समिति का प्रतिवेदन सदन में पेश किए जाने के पश्चात मंत्री इन तीनों में से कोई प्रस्ताव कर सकता है , अर्थात् कि विधेयक पर , प्रतिवेदित रूप में , विचार किया जाए , या कि विधेयक को , प्रतिवेदित रूप में , फिर से उसी समिति के पास या किसी नयी समिति के पास भेजा जाए , या कि विधेयक पर राय जानने के लिए या अग्रेतर राय जानने के लिए प्रचालित किया जाए या पुनः परिचालित किया जाए , जैसी भी स्थिति हो .
