He has contributed to the lesser invasive treatment of myasthenia gravis by total radical thymectomy which is recognised and referred too in the international reference video library, SAGES ( Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons ) . His contribution was recognised by National Neurological Society and was felicitated by them.

A prophylactic thymectomy is controversial, but has been shown to be helpful in young MG patients with acute disease within 3 years of disease onset, in patients with enlarged thymus glands and for whom surgery is low-risk, and patients with generalized MG who are unresponsive to medical treatment.
