Following World War II, he returned to work at Yeerongpilly and under his direction as principal research officer and officer-in-charge of CSIRO's veterinary parasitology laboratory ( 1947-1966 ) the Yeerongpilly institute gained an international reputation for its studies of parasitic diseases in cattle.
