A multitude of scoring methods exist across vulnerability databases such as US-CERT and SANS Institute's Critical Vulnerability Analysis Scale but the Common Vulnerability Scoring System ( CVSS ) is the prevailing technique for most vulnerability databases including OSVDB, vFeed and NVD .
