According to the Constitution of India, no confidence motion, confidence motion, adjournment motion, election of Chairman, Deputy Chairman, and Speaker, any proposal of amendment under the constitution to be sent to State Legislatures, General bill, Finance Bill, President's Rule, declaration of emergency come under simple majority unless otherwise specified about the type of majority required. भारतीय संविधान के अनुसार अविश्वास प्रस्ताव विश्वास प्रस्ताव कामरोको प्रस्ताव सभापति उपसभापति तथा अध्यक्षॉ के चुनाव हेतु सदन के यदि संविधान संशोधन का प्रस्ताव राज्य विधायिकाओं को भेजना हो सामान्य बिल धन बिल राष्ट्रपति शासन वित्तीय आपातकाल लगाने हेतु सामान्य बहुमत को मान्यता प्राप्त है यदि बहुमत के प्रकार का निर्देश न होने पर उसे सदैव सामान्य बहुमत समझा जाता है

According to Indian Constitution for No-confidence motion, Confidence motion, Work stop proposal, and election Chairman, Vice-Chairman and chairman, if the proposal is to be sent to State Legislative for constitutional amendment General Bill, Money Bill, President Rule, Financial emergency, the general majority is acceptable. Nor are the masses alone in resisting AKP's Islamists. President Ahmet Necdet Sezer warned that, for the first time since 1923, when the secular republic came into being, its pillars “are being openly questioned.” He also inveighed against the imposition of a soft Islamist state , predicting that it would turn extremist. Onur Öymen , deputy chairman of the opposition Republican People's Party, cautioned that the AKP's taking the presidency would “upset all balances” and create a very dangerous situation. The military - Turkey's ultimate powerbroker - issued two statements reinforcing this assessment. On April 12 , the chief of staff, Gen. Mehmet Yaşar Büyükanıt, expressed his hope that “someone who is loyal to the principles of the republic-not just in words but in essence-is elected president.” Two weeks later , the military's tone became more urgent, announcing that the presidential election “has been anxiously followed by the Turkish Armed Forces [which] maintains its firm determination to carry out its clearly specified duties to protect” secular principles. जस्टिस पार्टी के इस्लामवादियों का विरोध करने में जनता अकेली नहीं है । राष्ट्रपति अहमद नेसदेथ सेजेर ने चेतावनी दी कि 1923 में स्थापना के बाद पहली बार इस सेक्यूलर गणतंत्र के आधार स्तंभ पर खुले रुप में प्रश्न चिन्ह लगा है और नरम इस्लामी राज्य को थोपे जाने के विरुद्ध वे खुलकर बोले और भविष्यवाणी कि की इससे राज्य कट्टरपंथ में परिवर्तित हो जाएगा । विपक्षी रिपब्लिकन पीपुल्स पार्टी के उपसभापति ओनोर ओयमन ने सतर्क किया कि जस्टिस पार्टी के राष्ट्रपति पद ग्रहण करने से सारा संतुलन बिगड़ जाएगा और इससे बड़ी खतरनाक स्थिति उत्पन्न हो जाएगी । तुर्की की अंतिम सत्ता दलाल सेना ने इस धारणा को पुष्ट करते हुए दो बयान जारी किए । 12 अप्रैल को चीफ ऑफ स्टाफ मोहम्मद यासर ग्रोयू कानिद ने आशा व्यक्त कि की राष्ट्रपति के रुप में उसी व्यक्ति का चुनाव होगा जो गणतंत्र की भावना को उसी रुप में स्वीकार करता होगा न केवल शब्दों में । दो सप्ताह पश्चात् सेना के तेवर आपातिक हो गए और उनकी ओर से घोषणा की गई कि “तुर्की में राष्ट्रपति चुनाव में घोषणा कि गई कि तुर्की में राष्ट्रपति चुनाव पर सैन्य बलों की निगाह है और यह अपना संकल्प व्यक्त करती है कि सेक्यूलर सिद्धांतो की रक्षा के लिए यह अपने कर्तव्य का पालन करेगी.”
