The farmers and labourer classes only wore kurta , a loincloth and a cap . They put on long pyjamas only on special occasions like a wedding or a festival . कृषक तथा श्रमिक वर्गीय लोग कुर्ता , लँगोटी , टोपी ही पहनते थें पाजामा तो त्योहार या विवाह आदि के समय ही पहना जाता .

The farmers will be able to obtain loans from designated banks on the basis of their land holdings for the purchase of seeds and Fertilizers and pesticides and any other inputs under the scheme. इस योजना के अंतर्गत कृषक अपनी भू-संपत्ति के आधार पर बीजों की खरीदारी, खाद, कीटनाशकों और अन्य कोई भी निवेशों के लिए निर्दिष्ट बैंकों से कर्ज़ पा सकेंगे।

Till the end of Rabi 1997-98 season the scheme covered 6.45 crore farmers and claims of Rs. 1,623 crore were paid against a premium collection of only Rs. 313 crores. १९९७-९८ के रबी के मौसम तक इस योजना द्वारा ६.४५ करोड़ कृषक सुरक्षित हो चुके थे और सिर्फ़ ३१३ करोड़ रु. के प्रीमियम की वसूली के बदले दावों के १,६२३ करोड़ रु. का भुगतान किया जा चुका था.

If the actual average yield in any area covered by this scheme fails short of the guaranteed yield, the farmer is entitled to an indemnity to the extent of shortfall in yield viz-a-viz the guaranteed yield. इस योजना द्वारा सुरक्षित किसी भी क्षेत्र में यदि वास्तविक औसत उपज प्रत्याभूत उपज से कम होती है तो फसल में जितनी कमी हुई है, कृषक उतने का क्षतिपूर्ति-दावा कर सकता है.

The scheme covers only those farmers who avail crop loans from cooperative credit institutions, commercial banks and regional rural banks for producing rice, wheat, millets, oilseeds and pulses. इस योजना द्वारा केवल वे कृषक सुरक्षित हैं जो सहकारी ऋण संस्थानों,व्यावसायिक बैंकों और क्षेत्रीय ग्रामीण बैंकों से चावल, गेहूँ, ज्वार,तेलहन तथा दालें उपजाने लिये कृषि ऋण लेते हैं.
