It occurred naturally because the wild grass which has now been identified as another species of the genus Aegilops ae squarrosa is a useless weed grass growing in wheat fields , ranging from the Balkans to Afghanistan . यह प्रकृति में हुआ एक संकरण है क़्योंकि गेहूं के साथ संकरण करने वाले पौधे को अभी-अभी पहचाना गया तथा यह ज्ञात हो चुका है कि यह ऐजिलाप्स-ऐ-स्केरोसा जाति के एक अन्य वंश का पौधा है.इस प्रकार की जंगली घास बाल्कन देशो से अफगानिस्तान तक के सभी प्रदेशों में पायी जाती है तथा गेहूं के खेतों में उगती है .
